Emergency Contingency Plan Workshop
Target group
The lead HSR is responsible for setting up the company’s Emergency Contingency Plan. However, before such a contingency plan can be developed it is essential that a Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&E) has been carried out.
What does the Emergency Contingency Plan entail?
In the event of a calamity the organisation must react quickly and adequately: time is often of the essence. The Emergency Contingency Plan contains the alerting and evacuation procedures to be followed in the event of a calamity by health and safety representatives, receptionists and other employees. Additionally, technical equipment and facilities (such as emergency lighting, fire alarm and extinguishing systems, air-conditioning systems, communication systems and first aid provisions) are also described in it.
